After a break, Honor finally launched its first smartphone in India after launching 20 series. The Honor 9X, which was originally unveiled in China in July last year, finally made its way into India. The phone is the successor to the Honor 8X which was launched in India last year. If you're wondering whether Google Mobile services have phone support, it does. Since the phone was verified before the US ban came into force, the phone would ship with Google's apps and services.

The Honor 9X comes with the Kirin 710F chipset on its predecessor, the Kirin 710. In addition to the processor, there is up to 8GB of RAM and GPU Turbo 3.0 which improves gaming performance according to Honor claims.

The phone has a glass-back design that shows when the light and X fall on it. The back of the phone has a triple camera setup, which includes a basic 48 MP sensor, an 8MP ultraviolet camera and a 2MP depth sensor. If you're wondering where the fingerprint sensor is, it's embedded in the phone's power button.

The front up is a 6.6-inch LCD panel that does not interfere with the rung or aperture. Instead, the phone uses its own 16MP front camera in the pop-up module. The phone's battery is backed by 4,000 mAh and its USB Type-C port supports 10W fast charging. The 9X also has a headphone jack and a microSD card slot for expansion.

The phone is available in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB variants, priced at INR 13,999 and INR 16,999 respectively. While the price may not be too shabby, the phone can be tough to compete with, such as the Redmi Note 8 Pro and RealMe 5 Pro, which provide the most bang for the buck. Stay tuned for our coverage on the device in the coming days.

Honor Band 5i

Honor Band 5i is an affordable version of Honor Band 5, launched last year. The 5i has 5ATM certification and a 0.96-inch color touchscreen. The band has a heart rate sensor and also tracks sleep. The interesting thing about the Band 5i is that it doesn't use proprietary charging technology and has a USB Type-A plug-in design.

The band is priced at Rs 1,999 and will go on sale on Amazon starting January 19th.
