Spotify is all about playlists and sharing with friends and people, but if you want the music experience of a buddy, it may not be that easy.

The biggest music streaming site in the world is now trying to fix this with a feature called "Tastebuds"-a unique feature that allows you to hear the preferences of your buddy of music tastes like never before. Spotted and recorded by the ever-reliable Jane Manchun Wong on Twitter, the app is still only on a prototype stage and can potentially be seen by anyone here, but we still have to find out how precisely the feature would function.
As mentioned in Wong's tweet here, you can press on the pen icon to browse through the users you're following to show the songs they've recently played. That means you will add music to your own library as well. I assume that members will connect their music history with' Tastebuds' and the people who follow them, but I'm not quite positive.
For those with a keen eye on Spotify and its features,' Tastebuds' actually looks like' Friends Weekly Playlist,' a feature that was also spotted earlier this year in order to create a custom playlist based on Discover playlists from your friends.
However, it is quite evident that Spotify is interested in ramping up its social efforts beyond the Activity Feed, which is limited to the desktop and shows only what your friends are currently listening to.
