The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), its president, K. Sivan said that about two months after Chandrayaan-2's attempt, it would do everything to demonstrate a soft landing on Moon of its spacecraft.

Sivan, an emotional figure who had failed on 7 September after the Chandrayaan-2 landing, said that ISRO is working on the action plan to find out how to try a soft Moon landing.
"Sure, a soft landing could not be accomplished, but all the systems worked up to 300 meters from the Moon's surface. But now we have very valuable information to correct things, "said Sivan at IIT Delhi's 50th ceremony.
"Let me assure you that in the near future ISRO can draw on all its know-how, expertise and strategies to fix things and show soft Moon landing," Sivan said. The ISRO Chairman said later when he spoke to media persons that "we are working on a plan of action to proceed with Vikram Lander landing."
The Chandrayaan-2 mission, the first smooth Indian landing on Moon, was supposed to end when the Vikram robotic lander seemed to smash into the lunar surface.
Had it worked, India would be the fourth nation to launch a rocket on the Earth. During one lunar day (roughly 14 earth days) Rover Pragyaan would then have visited the lunar surface.
The chief of ISRO also reminded the world during the convocation ceremony that Chandrayaan-2 could have failed, but the Indian space agency was tracking some other missions, including the India-led solar mission AdityaL-1 and a human spaceflight programme.
"The story's not ending, Chandrayan-2. We are on track for our plans for the Aditya L1 solar mission and space program. In the coming months there will be a large number of complex satellite launches, "said Sivan.
