• WhatsApp status can now be made into Facebook stories

• Testing started with select users in June

Earlier this year, Facebook shared a vision to unify the three apps under its branding - Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, and now it has started. WhatsApp Android users can now directly share their status updates in Facebook Stories.

The option to share Instagram stories in Facebook Stories is already available and the name of WhatsApp has also been included in this list. In June this year, under the WhatsApp Android Beta program, select users were given access to this feature and now this feature has finally been made available in the latest stable version of WhatsApp.

Share WhatsApp status in Facebook stories like this
- Go to 'My Status'
- Click on the hamburger icon next to the status you want to share on Facebook
- Go here and click on 'Share to Facebook'
- Here you will see your Facebook profile picture with default privacy settings.

Before sharing the status, select the option from Public, Friends and Connections, Friends, Custom or Hyde Story from here.

- Now click on 'Share Now' to share the story.

Once WhatsApp status is posted as a Facebook story, it will remain for 24 hours. WhatsApp status can be shared as a Facebook story many times. The good thing is that even after deleting the original WhatsApp status, the Facebook status will be present.
